In the 4th minute, Salomone Weber made a precise shot to the right of Erich Pitten. SSV Ulm 1846's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henri Schwersenz in the 8th minute of play forced SSV Ulm 1846's goalkeeper Erich Pitten to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 10 minutes into the match, SSV Ulm 1846's goal looked a bit too open when Henri Schwersenz came free, but Erich Pitten reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 17th minute, Mykhaylo Mudryk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 18th minute Salomone Weber shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erich Pitten saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Erich Pitten showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Salomone Weber, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kurt Wüthrich in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Erich Pitten prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 33rd minute, Adam Dieler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 37 minutes into the game, Albert Einstein was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Espen Steelers's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SSV Ulm 1846 the free kick. The supporters of SSV Ulm 1846 booed when Espen Steelers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albert Einstein didn't get a good kick on the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Salomone Weber stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Kurt Wüthrich kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Erich Pitten. That made the score 1-2 in the 55 minute of play. Fabian Schärs short, quick shot in the 58thth minute got Erich Pitten to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Cedric Aigle's late challenge caught a Espen Steelers's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cedric Aigle helped the player get up and apologised. Cedric Aigle hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Kurt Wüthrich succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-3 in the 60th playminute. After a rather tough play, Espen Steelers's Henri Schwersenz got a free kick in the 64th minute. Kurt Wüthrich kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Erich Pitten made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henri Schwersenz in the 76th minute of play. 78 minutes into the game, Henri Schwersenz recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Erich Pitten. Henri Schwersenz showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-4. Erich Pitten came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Espen Steelers's Kurt Wüthrich. But to his dismay, Kurt Wüthrich quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. With a little luck, SSV Ulm 1846's Erich Pitten got control of the ball when Kurt Wüthrich tried to sneak it across the goal line. Kurt Wüthrich was extremely unlucky when he, in the 90th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Henri Schwersenz took the ball and in the 97 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Erich Pitten. Erich Pitten dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-6.
