If Yusuf Ziya Cerit had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 2nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 3 played minutes B68 Toftir got a freekick which was hit by Aleksandar Pavlovic. Kevin Trapp came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Lugano's Jack Saunders. But to his dismay, Jack Saunders quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Kevin Trapp stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jack Saunders's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. In the 9th match minute, B68 Toftir was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomáš Čvančara to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fred Lara in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kevin Trapp prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 19th minute FC Lugano were awarded a corner. Zhao Le Sen went to the cornerflag to take it. Zhao Le Sen made a great header on FC Lugano's corner, it was just that B68 Toftir's Kevin Trapp managed to reach the ball for a save. 20 minutes into the match, B68 Toftir's goal looked a bit too open when Fred Lara came free, but Kevin Trapp reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 22 minutes into the game, Jack Saunders cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Kevin Trapp was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 26 minutes into the match, FC Lugano's Jack Saunders sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kevin Trapp narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Kevin Trapp didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jack Saunders went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. After some careless play in the B68 Toftir defense, Fred Lara kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kevin Trapp. The B68 Toftir fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kevin Trapp should have stopped the shot. 35 minutes into the match, Fred Lara notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of B68 Toftir's Kevin Trapp. Kevin Trapp was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 38th minute, Jack Saunders hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 41 minutes B68 Toftir's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Zhao Le Sen who took care of the corner kick. Zhao Le Sen made a great header on FC Lugano's corner, it was just that B68 Toftir's Kevin Trapp managed to reach the ball for a save. FC Lugano's Fred Lara got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fred Lara stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Edmondo Gulli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kevin Trapp having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Yusuf Ziya Cerit in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kevin Trapp saved B68 Toftir from getting behind. With a little luck, B68 Toftir's Kevin Trapp got control of the ball when Fred Lara tried to sneak it across the goal line. Kevin Trapp was a little too slow when Fred Lara got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 61st minute. The score was now 0-6. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Yusuf Ziya Cerit during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 71 played minutes FC Lugano got a freekick which was hit by Yusuf Ziya Cerit. Kevin Trapp took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fred Lara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 75 minutes into the match, FC Lugano's goal looked a bit too open when Dimitri Faber came free, but La Para reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 77 minutes into the game, Jack Saunders recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Kevin Trapp. Jack Saunders showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-7. Leon Goretzka hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. After 80 played minutes, FC Lugano's Zhao Le Sen shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Kevin Trapp came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC Lugano reached it. B68 Toftir's Kevin Trapp proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save B68 Toftir from getting a goal against them. 85 minutes into the match, B68 Toftir's goal looked a bit too open when Jack Saunders came free, but Kevin Trapp reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kevin Trapp was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Yusuf Ziya Cerit showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-8 in the 87 minute of play. Fred Lara could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Kevin Trapp made a huge save.
