The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd match minute, Tarada was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Franco Dreher to maneuver through the defense. Wolf Ehrenbolger took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gutierre Nuessli. Gutierre Nuessli dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. 14 minutes into the match, Tarada's goal looked a bit too open when Felicien Zehntner came free, but Cliff Gottschalk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Fletcher Fügli fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tarada's protests and gave Fletcher Fügli a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Tarada getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Fletcher Fügli hit a great ball. Douglas Sennrich fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cliff Gottschalk having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Wolf Ehrenbolger kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gutierre Nuessli. That made the score 2-0 in the 27 minute of play. Jürgen Sauerberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Gutierre Nuessli made a huge save. Patrick Vonwyl hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. 40 minutes into the game, Christopher Zehnder was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. B68 Toftir's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tarada the free kick. Cliff Gottschalk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Douglas Sennrich, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Tarada's zone, Patrick Vonwyl stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cliff Gottschalk came out of the goal and Patrick Vonwyl tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Werner Fiadone to make the kick off. Gutierre Nuessli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wolf Ehrenbolger, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. 66 minutes into the match, B68 Toftir's goal looked a bit too open when Alwin Beauchamps came free, but Gutierre Nuessli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cliff Gottschalk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Werner Fiadone in the 70th minute of the match. A collision led to Tarada getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Henri Schäppi hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Patrick Vonwyl's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cliff Gottschalk was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. Patrick Vonwyl recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to B68 Toftir getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Christopher Zehnder hit a great ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Tarada fans cheered their team off the field, for while B68 Toftir had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
