SV Bad Harzburg were furious when Emanuel Schrappe was red carded, 3 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Pat Krupp took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Otto-Stephan Keck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 11 played minutes SV Bad Harzburg got a freekick which was hit by Maik Schmeltzer. Otto-Stephan Keck recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to SV Bad Harzburg getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Gunnar Lasotta hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lutz Ertel in the 20th minute of play forced SV Bad Harzburg's goalkeeper Pat Krupp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 22nd minute, Otto-Stephan Keck left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hertha 1969 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Jörg Mackert hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. In the 26th minute, Lutz Ertel made a precise shot to the right of Pat Krupp. SV Bad Harzburg's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lothar Bannert in the 28th minute of play forced SV Bad Harzburg's goalkeeper Pat Krupp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 30 minutes into the match, Otto-Stephan Keck had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pat Krupp. SV Bad Harzburg's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Otto-Stephan Keck was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. After some careless play in the SV Bad Harzburg defense, Lutz Ertel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pat Krupp. The SV Bad Harzburg fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pat Krupp should have stopped the shot. If Lothar Bannert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 39 minutes into the match, SV Bad Harzburg's goal looked a bit too open when Lutz Ertel came free, but Pat Krupp reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pat Krupp came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Hertha 1969's Otto-Stephan Keck. But to his dismay, Otto-Stephan Keck quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. In the 47th minute Otto-Stephan Keck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pat Krupp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-6.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mark Geers to strike the kick off in the second half. Henrik Gorges could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Pat Krupp made a huge save. With a little luck, SV Bad Harzburg's Pat Krupp got control of the ball when Lutz Ertel tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Hertha 1969's Pepe Kißling got a free kick in the 54th minute. In the 55th minute of the match Frido Sandkühler sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Christoph Heise skillfully saved the ball. Otto-Stephan Keck received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Pat Krupp came out and tried to block the shot, but Otto-Stephan Keck slotted it home off the left post making it 0-7 in the 56th minute. In the 59th minute, Henrik Gorges reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Pat Krupp. The goal made the score 0-8. Pat Krupp was out of position in the 65 minute of play, and Otto-Stephan Keck capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Otto-Stephan Keck really showed his touch with that goal: 0-9. Henrik Gorges succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-10 in the 69th playminute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Andi Godescheid got free with Pat Krupp in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 76 minutes into the match, SV Bad Harzburg's goalkeeper Pat Krupp had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Henrik Gorges. Pat Krupp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Otto-Stephan Keck in the 77th minute of play. 83 minutes into the match, SV Bad Harzburg's goal looked a bit too open when Andi Godescheid came free, but Pat Krupp reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Christoph Heise showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frido Sandkühler, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. In the 95th minute, Hertha 1969's Andi Godescheid ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Pat Krupp. Pat Krupp yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-11. Hertha 1969 played a much better game than SV Bad Harzburg and deserved their victory. The SV Bad Harzburg players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
