In the 12th minute, Dejan Leuschner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 19 minutes, Harry Catalusci mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Rägi and the SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to FC Rägi getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Harry Catalusci hit a great ball. After 20 played minutes, SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Samuel Schweiger shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ingvar Bourdette came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. reached it. Jirko Cotti recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 22 minutes into the match, SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s goal looked a bit too open when Gian Huerliman came free, but Sönke Odenwälder reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bruce Pesch might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ingvar Bourdette. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bruce Pesch ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fritz Nettig during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 34 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.! The goalkeeper, Sönke Odenwälder, was totally fooled by FC Rägi's Gian Huerliman, who 36 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Bruce Pesch kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. A collision led to FC Rägi getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Jirko Cotti hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Ivica Tschida got a free kick in the 44th minute. 45 minutes into the game, Gian Huerliman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Rägi's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. the free kick. After 45 played minutes FC Rägi got a freekick which was hit by Gian Huerliman. FC Rägi's Ingvar Bourdette played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bolko Röhmer in the 47th minute of play.

FC Rägi made a substitution. Maxi Blattmer replaced Jirko Cotti. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gian Huerliman stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. FC Rägi's Gian Huerliman got his second yellow card of the match in the 54th minute. The referee ordered Gian Huerliman off the ground. When SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Carsten Schaub in the 56th minute got a chance for a shot 56th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Ingvar Bourdette made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bolko Röhmer in the 62nd minute of play. Heinrich Schwarz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Sönke Odenwälder tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Heinrich Schwarz in the 66th minute of play forced SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s goalkeeper Sönke Odenwälder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 67 minutes SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Maxi Blattmer who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Maxi Blattmer got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Sönke Odenwälder quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Carsten Schaub managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Carsten Schaub was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ingvar Bourdette breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in FC Rägi's zone, Carsten Schaub stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ingvar Bourdette came out of the goal and Carsten Schaub tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maxi Blattmer in the 85th minute of play forced SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s goalkeeper Sönke Odenwälder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bruce Pesch hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. FC Rägi's Ingvar Bourdette played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carsten Schaub in the 96th minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The FC Rägi fans cheered their team off the field, for while SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
