A very good chance for a goal. 10 minutes into the match, Tiger De Hond notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Alemannia Aachen's Jess Carnduff. Jess Carnduff was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. La Rat's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ovidiu Adrian read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. La Rat struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Ovidiu Adrian didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alemannia Aachen. La Rat could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Ovidiu Adrian made a huge save. La Rat came free with the goalkeeper in the 23rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ovidiu Adrian could save by the left post. In the 28thth minute of the game Tiger De Hond who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Alemannia Aachen's Jess Carnduff was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 31 minutes into the match, Alemannia Aachen's goal looked a bit too open when Mauro Primeiro came free, but Jess Carnduff reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 35th minute, Bartosz Erland ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jess Carnduff was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Ovidiu Adrian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thomas Müller, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 39 minutes into the match, Poli Timisoara's goal looked a bit too open when Thomas Müller came free, but Ovidiu Adrian reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 40th minute, La Rat got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 43rdth minute of the game Mauro Primeiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Alemannia Aachen's Jess Carnduff was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 45 played minutes Alemannia Aachen got a freekick which was hit by Aulis Salomaa. Poli Timisoara's Horst-Peter Unterberger got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and La Rat made a kick off. In the 53rd minute Thomas Müller shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ovidiu Adrian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 55 minutes, the score became 1-2 when La Rat sped through Poli Timisoara's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ovidiu Adrian. Ovidiu Adrian made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from La Rat in the 59th minute of play. When La Rat came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Alemannia Aachen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that La Rat couldn't finish the play. Alemannia Aachen's Jess Carnduff played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bartosz Erland in the 64th minute of play. Poli Timisoara's Ovidiu Adrian played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aulis Salomaa in the 94th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 95 minutes, Jess Carnduff successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post.
