Joachim Kretschmer made a great header on Academica Pulheim's corner, it was just that FV Wienerwald's Marcel Mallinger managed to reach the ball for a save. Marcel Mallinger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alex Mansilha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 15 minutes into the match, Alex Mansilha had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcel Mallinger. FV Wienerwald's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alex Mansilha was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. 18 minutes into the match, Academica Pulheim's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Hanschirik came free, but Paul Heyckendorf reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Anfilogino Alfonsi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Paul Heyckendorf was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. Paul Heyckendorf showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felix Hanschirik, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Alex Mansilha could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Marcel Mallinger made a huge save. Lutz Golke kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. In the 29th minute, Hamilton Carvalhal ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Paul Heyckendorf was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Ralf Szüczs might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Paul Heyckendorf. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ralf Szüczs ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 39th match minute, Academica Pulheim was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Mansilha to maneuver through the defense. 41 minutes into the match, Academica Pulheim's goal looked a bit too open when Ralf Szüczs came free, but Paul Heyckendorf reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Anfilogino Alfonsi was the one to do the kick off. Paul Heyckendorf made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ralf Szüczs in the 52nd minute of play. Paul Heyckendorf took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felix Hanschirik, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 56 played minutes Academica Pulheim got a freekick which was hit by Gary Lineker. Gary Lineker kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. FV Wienerwald made a substitution. Per Nienhaus replaced Hamilton Carvalhal. Joachim Kretschmer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FV Wienerwald's Célio Nogueira was substituted for Anfilogino Alfonsi. FV Wienerwald's Klaus Adolphi was substituted for Andreas Trautermann. Simon Beuke kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Paul Heyckendorf showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Per Nienhaus in the 76th minute of the match. FV Wienerwald's Marcel Mallinger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maxime Vrints in the 77th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Per Nienhaus in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Paul Heyckendorf prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Célio Nogueira came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the FV Wienerwald fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Célio Nogueira couldn't finish the play. Paul Heyckendorf took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felix Hanschirik, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 87 minutes into the match, Academica Pulheim's goal looked a bit too open when Per Nienhaus came free, but Paul Heyckendorf reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcel Mallinger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maxime Vrints, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. FV Wienerwald's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ralf Szüczs in the 92nd minute. A nice corner shot did that Ralf Szüczs got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Paul Heyckendorf quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 95th minute Per Nienhaus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paul Heyckendorf saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Academica Pulheim had won after a very even match.
