An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonardo Donato in the 4th minute of play forced Agua Santa's goalkeeper Nuno Neves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Agua Santa getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Jânio Arantes hit a great ball. 19 minutes into the game, Palmeiras's Iustin Bungeanu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nuno Neves made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 23rd minute Leonardo Donato shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nuno Neves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Palmeiras booed when Agua Santa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rafael Cruz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Régis de Queirós showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cipriano Pinho in the 26th minute of the match. Nuno Neves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luke Clist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 33 minutes into the game, Palmeiras's Luke Clist nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nuno Neves made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Régis de Queirós showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frank Rosa in the 38th minute of the match. Dedê Mendes kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Tarcisio Reis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nuno Neves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iustin Bungeanu in the 44th minute of the match. In the 45th minute, Aílton de Mendonça hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luke Clist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Palmeiras were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cipriano Pinho to strike the kick off in the second half. 0-5 became the score in the 55th minute when Luke Clist elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Palmeiras's Régis de Queirós played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frank Rosa in the 59th minute of play. Iustin Bungeanu received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Nuno Neves came out and tried to block the shot, but Iustin Bungeanu slotted it home off the left post making it 0-6 in the 60th minute. Palmeiras's José Carlos Simões was substituted for Iustin Bungeanu. Palmeiras made a substitution. Ghenadie Furdui replaced Roderick Oosterhof. In the 68th minute, Leonardo Donato hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 71 minutes into the match, Agua Santa's goal looked a bit too open when Luke Clist came free, but Nuno Neves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Palmeiras were awarded a corner in the 72th minute after Agua Santa's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tarcisio Reis took the corner. Palmeiras's Tarcisio Reis was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Nuno Neves in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 75th minute, José Carlos Simões left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Palmeiras fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-7. Régis de Queirós came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Agua Santa's Cipriano Pinho. But to his dismay, Cipriano Pinho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-7. Leonardo Donato could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Nuno Neves made a huge save. Nuno Neves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonardo Donato in the 84th minute of the match. 85 minutes into the match, Palmeiras's goal looked a bit too open when Frank Rosa came free, but Régis de Queirós reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 88 minutes into the match, Leonardo Donato had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nuno Neves. Agua Santa's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leonardo Donato was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-8. After having played for 96 minutes, Tarcisio Reis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Palmeiras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tarcisio Reis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the final whistle sounded Palmeiras left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Agua Santa.
