Tiaguinho da Cunha yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Tiaguinho da Cunha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gocha Head Son, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tiaguinho da Cunha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gocha Head Son in the 24th minute of the match. Tiaguinho da Cunha came out and tried to block the shot, but Gocha Head Son slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 36th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacinto Paraíba in the 43rd minute of play forced Torreão OFF's goalkeeper Zézinho Freitas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 45th match minute, Xapetuba Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jarbas da Silveira to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gocha Head Son got free with Tiaguinho da Cunha in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zézinho Freitas prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
