After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Damaso Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Congo Bongo's supporters rose to their feet, but Damaso Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rui Santos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Isidoro Gitano got free with Máté Márton in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Máté Márton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alonzo Sal in the 8th minute of play. In the 11th minute Damaso Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rui Santos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kaj-Åke Kaká fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rui Santos having to interfere. After taking down the ball on Congo Bongo's corner Omar Erramun fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Rui Santos quite easily take care of the ball. 19 minutes into the match, Congo Bongo's goalkeeper Máté Márton had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Isidoro Gitano. 28 minutes into the match, Atlético Zelaya's goal looked a bit too open when Damaso Sancho came free, but Rui Santos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 29th match minute, Atlético Zelaya was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alejo Abadia to maneuver through the defense. In the 31st minute, Damaso Sancho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rui Santos was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Alejo Abadia hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. 34 minutes into the match, Damaso Sancho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rui Santos. Atlético Zelaya's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Damaso Sancho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Damaso Sancho struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Rui Santos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Congo Bongo. Rui Santos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damaso Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Atlético Zelaya's Rui Santos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damaso Sancho in the 39th minute of play. A collision led to Congo Bongo getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Caleb Law hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Damaso Sancho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rui Santos was relentless in the 46th minute of the game. Máté Márton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alonzo Sal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Congo Bongo were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Froilan Iaki managed to get in a good position for a shot. Congo Bongo's supporters rose to their feet, but Froilan Iaki was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rui Santos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rui Santos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damaso Sancho in the 53rd minute of play. In the 55th minute of the match, Damaso Sancho tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Rui Santos saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Congo Bongo made a substitution. Arnaldo Oidor replaced Damaso Sancho. Caleb Law hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnaldo Oidor in the 59th minute of play forced Atlético Zelaya's goalkeeper Rui Santos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 64thth minute of the game Jacobo Abechuco who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Congo Bongo's Máté Márton was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Arnaldo Oidor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rui Santos having to interfere. Rui Santos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnaldo Oidor in the 78th minute of play. 79 minutes into the match, Atlético Zelaya's goalkeeper Rui Santos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arnaldo Oidor. Rui Santos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Froilan Iaki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Arnaldo Oidor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rui Santos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnaldo Oidor, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. In the 91st minute, Kaj-Åke Kaká hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Máté Márton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacobo Abechuco in the 92nd minute of the match. 93 minutes into the match, Atlético Zelaya's goal looked a bit too open when Kaj-Åke Kaká came free, but Rui Santos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Kaj-Åke Kaká had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Congo Bongo's Arnaldo Oidor got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Atlético Zelaya supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Congo Bongo's performance. The match ended with a win for Congo Bongo.
