When Bertil Duerlund fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Monks in Robes's protests and gave Bertil Duerlund a yellow card for diving instead. AC United's Ingvar Täman shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 9th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Orla Nevin but with some difficulty. Orla Nevin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rune Andreasson in the 12th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Algot Månsson got free with Orla Nevin in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ulrick Bødkerholm recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Bertil Duerlund put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Gustaf Rudberg. Orla Nevin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rune Andreasson in the 25th minute of the match. Gustaf Rudberg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jakob Lorits went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. After 33 played minutes Monks in Robes got a freekick which was hit by Ulrick Bødkerholm. Reinhard Myler hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Orla Nevin made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Rune Andreasson sent off a good shot on target. Gustaf Rudberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ulrick Bødkerholm, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gustaf Rudberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ivan Kongsvang, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. In the 46th minute, Mouritz Søjbjerg made a precise shot to the right of Gustaf Rudberg. AC United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Mouritz Søjbjerg made the kick off in the second half. Kjell Blomberg hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. The supporters of Monks in Robes booed when AC United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronny Bokelund didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 58th minute of the match, Mouritz Søjbjerg tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Gustaf Rudberg saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Gustaf Rudberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bertil Duerlund in the 59th minute. Gustaf Rudberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mouritz Søjbjerg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Monks in Robes's Orla Nevin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Algot Månsson in the 61st minute of play. In the 62nd minute, Ivan Kongsvang got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 65th minute, Mouritz Søjbjerg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gustaf Rudberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. Ivan Kongsvang sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ingvar Täman hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. After 72 played minutes Monks in Robes got a freekick which was hit by Mouritz Søjbjerg. Orla Nevin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rune Andreasson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mouritz Søjbjerg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustaf Rudberg having to interfere. Gustaf Rudberg made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Ivan Kongsvang sent off a good shot on target. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind AC United's goalkeeper Gustaf Rudberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gustaf Rudberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mouritz Søjbjerg in the 85th minute of the match. Gustaf Rudberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mouritz Søjbjerg, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. After a rather tough play, Monks in Robes's Vagner Ørsnes got a free kick in the 89th minute. Ingvar Täman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Orla Nevin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. Jakob Lorits hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. The supporters of AC United booed when Monks in Robes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jakob Lorits didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Monks in Robes walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
