Ronnie Hellström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Artur Wojtowicz in the 3rd minute of the match. Damazy Dziewedik's late challenge caught a Skövde AIK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Damazy Dziewedik helped the player get up and apologised. In the 5th minute, Damazy Dziewedik hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kurt Hamrin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Tanek Narbut made a huge save. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Skövde AIK's goalkeeper Ronnie Hellström, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 13 minutes into the match, SALI's goal looked a bit too open when Chen Ao Fan came free, but Tanek Narbut reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Artur Wojtowicz during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 16th minute, Artur Wojtowicz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 18 minutes of play, SALI's Artur Wojtowicz made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ronnie Hellström was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ronnie Hellström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Barnaba Nalaskowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Knut Rudberg in the 26th minute of play forced SALI's goalkeeper Tanek Narbut to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind SALI's goalkeeper Tanek Narbut, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 33 minutes into the match, Skövde AIK's goal looked a bit too open when Barnaba Nalaskowski came free, but Ronnie Hellström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kurt Hamrin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Tanek Narbut tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 41 minutes, Barnaba Nalaskowski mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SALI and the Skövde AIK players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, SALI's Barnaba Nalaskowski got a free kick in the 41st minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Chen Ao Fan to make the kick off. Knut Rudberg kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. Ronnie Hellström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Artur Wojtowicz in the 52nd minute of play. A collision led to Skövde AIK getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Hans Petersson hit a great ball. In the 55th minute, Cheng Chao Yin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Knut Rudberg hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. 61 minutes into the game, Damazy Dziewedik cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Ronnie Hellström was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. SALI's Tanek Narbut played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chen Ao Fan in the 67th minute of play. A collision led to Skövde AIK getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Hans Petersson hit a great ball. In the 75th minute of the match Cheng Chao Yin shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ronnie Hellström showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The audience cheered when Cheng Chao Yin's long shot passed Ronnie Hellström's right side. It was 0-3, 75 minutes into the match. Chen Ao Fan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Damazy Dziewedik kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Bartlomiej Mielak hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Skövde AIK's Chen Ao Fan took a good shot, in the 84th minute, which hit the crossbar above Tanek Narbut's head, and flew over the goal. SALI's manager was very thankful on the sidelines as his team had managed to keep the ball out of the net after some serious pressure by Skövde AIK. After a rather tough play, SALI's Bartlomiej Mielak got a free kick in the 87th minute. If Kevin Keegan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Skövde AIK manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing SALI to win.
