Denis Paulin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hernan Lano in the 9th minute of the match. If Hernan Lano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Soroca F.C. booed when Defensores de Lombroso was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Uriel Ferrer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dan Wennerqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Uriel Ferrer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dan Wennerqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Uriel Ferrer in the 20th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Hernan Lano put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Denis Paulin. If Uriel Ferrer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 31 minutes into the match, Soroca F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Uriel Ferrer came free, but Dan Wennerqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 32nd minute, Adrián Espadas made a precise shot to the right of Denis Paulin. Defensores de Lombroso's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adrián Espadas in the 36th minute of play forced Defensores de Lombroso's goalkeeper Denis Paulin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Denis Paulin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iordanis Karatzaferis in the 37th minute of play. Defensores de Lombroso's Denis Paulin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amador Venceslao in the 44th minute of play. In the 48th minute Hernan Lano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Denis Paulin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lionel-Andrés Messi made a kick off. 56 minutes into the match, Defensores de Lombroso's goal looked a bit too open when Gustavo Tartalo came free, but Denis Paulin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 57th minute Lionel-Andrés Messi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dan Wennerqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Soroca F.C.'s Răzvan Necula was substituted for Adrián Espadas. A collision led to Defensores de Lombroso getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Lucio Cordarrol hit a great ball. Soroca F.C.'s Norberto Liberato shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 62nd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Denis Paulin but with some difficulty. In the 65th minute Cosme Jaen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Denis Paulin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Denis Paulin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cosme Jaen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 73 minutes into the match, Defensores de Lombroso's goal looked a bit too open when Cosme Jaen came free, but Denis Paulin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Denis Paulin made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Gustavo Tartalo sent off a good shot on target. Soroca F.C. made a substitution. Rodolfo Atarrabi replaced Hernan Lano. Dan Wennerqvist came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Defensores de Lombroso's Godfredo Gau. But to his dismay, Godfredo Gau quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Iordanis Karatzaferis succeeded in the game's 94th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-4. The Defensores de Lombroso fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Soroca F.C. were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
