The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Merceron United's Daniele Bucciarelli proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save Merceron United from getting a goal against them. After 6 played minutes FC Mims got a freekick which was hit by Ermanno Ottavi. FC Mims's Attilio Fiordelisi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dinei Fernandez in the 7th minute of play. In the 9th minute, Dinei Fernandez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Attilio Fiordelisi was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 14 minutes into the match, Merceron United's goal looked a bit too open when Damiano Strazzabosco came free, but Daniele Bucciarelli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniele Bucciarelli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damiano Strazzabosco, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. The supporters of Merceron United booed when FC Mims was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ermanno Ottavi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dinei Fernandez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dinei Fernandez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Attilio Fiordelisi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With an all-out effort, FC Mims's Daniele Bucciarelli threw himself towards the right post 25 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Damiano Strazzabosco, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Attilio Fiordelisi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dinei Fernandez in the 26th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dinei Fernandez in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Attilio Fiordelisi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 35th minute, Dinei Fernandez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Attilio Fiordelisi was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2.

FC Mims's Attilio Fiordelisi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edoardo Pascucci in the 52nd minute of play. In the 53rd minute Edoardo Pascucci shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Attilio Fiordelisi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 57th minute, Damiano Strazzabosco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Mims fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. In the 64th minute Enrico Improta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniele Bucciarelli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dinei Fernandez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Attilio Fiordelisi having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fedele Carnevale in the 72nd minute of play forced Merceron United's goalkeeper Daniele Bucciarelli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Attilio Fiordelisi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edoardo Pascucci, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Dinei Fernandez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Attilio Fiordelisi made a huge save. After 78 played minutes Merceron United got a freekick which was hit by Alessio Bottaro. Dinei Fernandez who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 83rdth minute tested the skills of Attilio Fiordelisi when he managed to save the team from getting behind. A hard shot 88 in the game by Dinei Fernandez from a close distance when the talented Attilio Fiordelisi managed to make a qualified save. FC Mims's players were relieved. Damiano Strazzabosco took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Daniele Bucciarelli. Daniele Bucciarelli dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. When the final whistle sounded Merceron United left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than FC Mims.
