The crowd rose to their feet as Chi-Chi Kent kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Aurelius Bolduc. That made the score 1-0 in the 9 minute of play. After having played for 14 minutes, Chi-Chi Kent managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jacuitiba - FSCMZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Chi-Chi Kent was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hektor Wasser hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Jacuitiba - FSCMZ's Mastur Bandov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Willem Migneault in the 20th minute of play. Jacuitiba - FSCMZ's Chi-Chi Kent got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Willem Migneault had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Zelg FC's Stefan Beller got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mastur Bandov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Willem Migneault, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Willem Migneault received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Mastur Bandov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 44th match minute, Zelg FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paco Fügli to maneuver through the defense.

Aurelius Bolduc took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Donato Tinoco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hektor Wasser was shown his second yellow card after 55 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Zelg FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 57th minute. Penalty! Chi-Chi Kent shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Donato Tinoco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 65th minute Chi-Chi Kent shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurelius Bolduc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Chi-Chi Kent in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aurelius Bolduc prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 72 played minutes Jacuitiba - FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Donato Tinoco. After a defensive mix-up in Zelg FC's zone, Chi-Chi Kent stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aurelius Bolduc came out of the goal and Chi-Chi Kent tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Stefan Beller's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mastur Bandov read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. Zelg FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Andréas Asplund was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Jacuitiba - FSCMZ's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
