Tasso FC's Monte Lobato proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Tasso FC from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Stefan Beller managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zelg FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Stefan Beller was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Monte Lobato breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 44 played minutes Zelg FC got a freekick which was hit by Willem Migneault. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Aurelius Bolduc showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chu Tasso in the 52nd minute of the match. Chu Tasso struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Paco Fügli's late challenge caught a Tasso FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
