Daniel Ghițescu took the ball and in the 3 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Monte Lobato. Monte Lobato dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Basílio Silveira blasted a shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Monte Lobato having to make a save. Monte Lobato made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Basílio Silveira in the 6th minute of play. Mastur Bandov made an important save on a dangerous shot by Chu Tasso in the 14th minute. In the 20th minute Basílio Silveira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Monte Lobato saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Monte Lobato came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Jacuitiba - FSCMZ's Daniel Ghițescu. But to his dismay, Daniel Ghițescu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. If Daniel Ghițescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Monte Lobato took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Basílio Silveira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Daniel Ghițescu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Monte Lobato was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. 32 minutes into the match, Jacuitiba - FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Chu Tasso came free, but Mastur Bandov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Cacá Barreto fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jacuitiba - FSCMZ's protests and gave Cacá Barreto a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Tasso FC booed when Jacuitiba - FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cacá Barreto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Basílio Silveira in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Monte Lobato prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Juca Tasso hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. When Chu Tasso came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Tasso FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Chu Tasso couldn't finish the play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

When Sebastián Coates fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tasso FC's protests and gave Sebastián Coates a yellow card for diving instead. Sebastián Coates kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. When Tasso FC's Chu Tasso in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Jacuitiba - FSCMZ's goalie prevented a goal. A collision led to Tasso FC getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Machado Assis hit a great ball. 68 minutes into the game, Francis Beckenbauer threw the ball into play from the sideline. Tasso FC's Sebastián Coates quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After 75 played minutes Basílio Silveira rounded Tasso FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-3. After a rather tough play, Jacuitiba - FSCMZ's Francis Beckenbauer got a free kick in the 77th minute. Tasso FC's Monte Lobato proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Tasso FC from getting a goal against them. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Jacuitiba - FSCMZ eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
