Degerfors IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Atlético Atlanta the free kick. Club Atlético Atlanta's Severino Huly was substituted for Remigio Erramu. 12 minutes into the match, Degerfors IF's goalkeeper Håkan Söderberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Paolo Caradaro. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eustaquio Jaizki in the 13th minute of play forced Degerfors IF's goalkeeper Håkan Söderberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Marcos Berdoi kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Håkan Söderberg. That made the score 1-0 in the 20 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Club Atlético Atlanta's Marcos Berdoi got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Carlos Germano didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Åke Fors went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Eustaquio Jaizki struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Håkan Söderberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Atlético Atlanta. Degerfors IF's attentive Philip Kihlman managed to snatch the ball when Fabian Guter made a throw-in in the 36th minute of the game. In the 37th match minute, Club Atlético Atlanta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lázaro Cuartio to maneuver through the defense. Åke Fors fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Germano having to interfere. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Club Atlético Atlanta's goalkeeper Carlos Germano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Fabian Guter hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcos Berdoi in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Håkan Söderberg saved Degerfors IF from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atlético Atlanta's zone, Åke Fors stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Germano came out of the goal and Åke Fors tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Degerfors IF defense, Paolo Caradaro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Håkan Söderberg. The Degerfors IF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Håkan Söderberg should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Club Atlético Atlanta's Anselmo Nevada got a free kick in the 67th minute. Degerfors IF's Christian Håkansson shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 68th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Carlos Germano but with some difficulty. When Christian Håkansson fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Degerfors IF's protests and gave Christian Håkansson a yellow card for diving instead. Christian Håkansson kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Degerfors IF's Philip Kihlman quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Fabio Artaldo, made in the 73rd minute of the game. Carlos Germano made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Åke Fors sent off a good shot on target. Philip Kihlman hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. 김 손 hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. A sloppy throw-in by Fabio Artaldo in the 86th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Degerfors IF's 김 손. After 89 played minutes Degerfors IF got a freekick which was hit by Philip Kihlman. After 91 minutes, Paolo Caradaro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Atlético Atlanta and the Degerfors IF players grew even worse after the yellow card. A throw-in in the 93rd minute of the game was made by Fabio Artaldo with Marcos Berdoi as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. 96 minutes had been played when some careless play by Club Atlético Atlanta's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Christian Håkansson was slow to take the kick. During this time Degerfors IF's players had a chance to rest. Degerfors IF's Christian Håkansson was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Carlos Germano in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. When the referee ended the match the Club Atlético Atlanta players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
