Tasso FC's Monte Lobato played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emílio Matorin in the 22nd minute of play. Monte Lobato showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sandro Quintal in the 25th minute of the match. In the 26th minute Emílio Matorin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Monte Lobato saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Severiano Torcato could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Giovanni de Toledo made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sandro Quintal in the 33rd minute of play forced Tasso FC's goalkeeper Monte Lobato to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sebastián Coates's late challenge caught a Minotauro's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sebastián Coates helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Tasso FC's Sebastián Coates got a free kick in the 34th minute. Severiano Torcato fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giovanni de Toledo having to interfere. Waldir Urbano blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Giovanni de Toledo having to make a save. 41 minutes into the match, Minotauro's goalkeeper Giovanni de Toledo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Waldir Urbano. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Minotauro's Severino Guerra was substituted for Edgard Marques. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Waldir Urbano to make the kick off. Monte Lobato made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Claudinei Brito sent off a good shot on target. If Brazilio Tasso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 61 minutes in the game Jano Palmeira did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Kiko Proença. Giovanni de Toledo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Waldir Urbano went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Tasso FC's Monte Lobato proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Tasso FC from getting a goal against them. Giovanni de Toledo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Waldir Urbano, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Tasso FC's Machado Assis was substituted for Brazilio Tasso. Tasso FC made a substitution. Andaka Mozer replaced Pinto Valer. Diego Antunes kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tasso FC's goalkeeper Monte Lobato, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
