Viriato Horta came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by ≮王者归来≯Kowloon City's Luiz Eduardo de Salles. But to his dismay, Luiz Eduardo de Salles quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. GD JULIO DINIS's Viriato Horta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adilson Ortiz in the 17th minute of play. In the 18th minute, Adilson Ortiz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miguel--Angel Sigurdardottir in the 23rd minute of play forced GD JULIO DINIS's goalkeeper Viriato Horta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to GD JULIO DINIS getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Geraldo Aires hit a great ball. After 27 minutes, Serafim Bezerra mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the GD JULIO DINIS and the ≮王者归来≯Kowloon City players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 41st minute, Alfredo Simão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 42nd minute, Geraldo Lopes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. GD JULIO DINIS's Viriato Horta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miguel--Angel Sigurdardottir in the 44th minute of play. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Geraldo Lopes to make the kick off. With a little luck, GD JULIO DINIS's Viriato Horta got control of the ball when Miguel--Angel Sigurdardottir tried to sneak it across the goal line. Viriato Horta made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Miguel--Angel Sigurdardottir sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Frederico Barros managed to get in a good position for a shot. ≮王者归来≯Kowloon City's supporters rose to their feet, but Frederico Barros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Viriato Horta breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
