Billy Ödman was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gustav Smed hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Jacuitiba - FSCMZ's zone, Jens-Ola Fernkvist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claudinho Medeiros came out of the goal and Jens-Ola Fernkvist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stig-Ove Olsman in the 18th minute of play forced Jacuitiba - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Claudinho Medeiros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Jordan F1 91-05 getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Anders Björklund hit a great ball. In the 24th minute of the match Valdemar Moreira sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Billy Ödman skillfully saved the ball. Claudinho Medeiros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Per Andberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jacuitiba - FSCMZ's Claudinho Medeiros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jens-Ola Fernkvist in the 30th minute of play. Jacuitiba - FSCMZ's Claudinho Medeiros proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Jacuitiba - FSCMZ from getting a goal against them. Jacuitiba - FSCMZ's Claudinho Medeiros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jens-Ola Fernkvist in the 33rd minute of play. The supporters of Jordan F1 91-05 booed when Jacuitiba - FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valdemar Moreira didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 40th minute Per Andberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudinho Medeiros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jens-Ola Fernkvist couldn't finish the play. 48 minutes into the match, Jacuitiba - FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when David Arenberg came free, but Claudinho Medeiros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Jacuitiba - FSCMZ were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dieguinho Magalhães was the one to do the kick off. Claudinho Medeiros didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jens-Ola Fernkvist went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 61st minute, Jens-Ola Fernkvist left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Jordan F1 91-05 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Jens-Ola Fernkvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Claudinho Medeiros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vágner Faria hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. After 80 played minutes Jacuitiba - FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Valdemar Moreira. After some careless play in the Jacuitiba - FSCMZ defense, David Arenberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Claudinho Medeiros. The Jacuitiba - FSCMZ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Claudinho Medeiros should have stopped the shot.
