Wilfredo Gaxan's late challenge caught a Suprs Academia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wilfredo Gaxan helped the player get up and apologised. Aquiles Oihenarte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mário Mafra in the 13th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Teobaldo Milian got free with Manuel Silveira in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Aquiles Oihenarte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antero Aveiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Manuel Silveira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Club Atlético Atlanta booed when Suprs Academia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vasco Porto didn't get a good kick on the ball.
