Jardel Dionísio charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jardel Dionísio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 5th match minute, Atlético Minuano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jardel Dionísio to maneuver through the defense. Paulo Renato Velloso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albertino lacerda, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. After 14 played minutes Suprs Academia got a freekick which was hit by Vasco Porto. 16 minutes into the match, Oséas Chaves dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Manuel Silveira, 1-0. The referee ignored Atlético Minuano's protests and gave Hugo Loyola a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Atlético Minuano getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Hugo Loyola hit a great ball. Manuel Silveira was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Romário Monteiro showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 24 minute of play. Manuel Silveira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hugo Loyola, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 43 minutes into the match, Hugo Loyola dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Manuel Silveira, 3-1. In the 47th minute, Atlético Minuano's Doni de Moraes dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-1.

Manuel Silveira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Doni de Moraes in the 54th minute of the match. In the 55th match minute, Atlético Minuano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jardel Dionísio to maneuver through the defense. Jardel Dionísio scored 5-1 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Manuel Silveira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 60th minute Jardel Dionísio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Silveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Atlético Minuano were awarded a corner in the 61th minute after Suprs Academia's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Romário Monteiro took the corner. In the 68th minute Doni de Moraes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Silveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 69th minute of the match Atlético Minuano got a corner. Suprs Academia's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Romário Monteiro ran over to the corner to take the kick. Horácio Noronha thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Manuel Silveira, a very annoying self made goal in the 69th minute which led to 7-1. Manuel Silveira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romário Monteiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. 77 minutes into the game, Gonçalo Tinoco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Atlético Minuano's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Suprs Academia the free kick. Gonçalo Tinoco kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Belchior Diegues kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Paulo Renato Velloso. That made the score 7-2 in the 78 minute of play. Doni de Moraes hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. After 83 played minutes Suprs Academia got a freekick which was hit by Mário Mafra. Suprs Academia's Vasco Porto couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 86th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Atlético Minuano. In the 88th minute, Belchior Diegues got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Atlético Minuano's Paulo Renato Velloso got control of the ball when Antero Aveiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jardel Dionísio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jardel Dionísio ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Atlético Minuano fans cheered their team off the field, for while Suprs Academia had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
