The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 6 minutes into the match, FC Dezassete's goal looked a bit too open when Vladimiro Guerreiro came free, but Viriato Peixoto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. João Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Torcato Caetano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tobias Paixão read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when José Guarda got free with Viriato Peixoto in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rubim Torcato hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. 14 minutes into the match, FC Dezassete's goalkeeper Viriato Peixoto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by José Guarda. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, José Guarda managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Fura Balizas's supporters rose to their feet, but José Guarda was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Viriato Peixoto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 17 minutes into the match, José Guarda had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Viriato Peixoto. FC Dezassete's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that José Guarda was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Vladimiro Guerreiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Viriato Peixoto having to interfere. Viriato Peixoto came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Fura Balizas's José Guarda. But to his dismay, José Guarda quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Viriato Peixoto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Guarda in the 29th minute of the match. Eduardo Festas hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Viriato Peixoto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from José Guarda went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. In the 40th minute, José Guarda reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Viriato Peixoto. The goal made the score 4-0. An unexpected shot in the 44th minute by José Guarda got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The wind increased when Gaspar Queirós made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 53 minutes, José Guarda managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Fura Balizas's supporters crossed their fingers, but José Guarda was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If José Guarda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 59 minutes into the game, FC Fura Balizas's José Guarda nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Viriato Peixoto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. José Guarda struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Viriato Peixoto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Fura Balizas. José Guarda took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Viriato Peixoto. Viriato Peixoto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. José Guarda scored 7-0 in the 74th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Viriato Peixoto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. José Guarda took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Viriato Peixoto. Viriato Peixoto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-0. When Kevin Damásio came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the FC Fura Balizas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kevin Damásio couldn't finish the play. In the 86th match minute, FC Dezassete was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roberto Reis to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to FC Dezassete getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Roberto Reis hit a great ball. Márcio Vilarinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Viriato Peixoto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 92nd minute Márcio Vilarinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Viriato Peixoto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vladimiro Guerreiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Viriato Peixoto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kevin Damásio in the 95th minute of the match.
