Gilmar de Mendonça was out of position in the 4 minute of play, and Göran Lidman capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Göran Lidman really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Gilmar de Mendonça took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vidar Alebeck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Botafogo AP's Edvaldo Barbosa got a free kick in the 8th minute. In the 11th match minute, Xentrias was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lukas Bjursell to maneuver through the defense. Gilmar de Mendonça made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Göran Lidman sent off a good shot on target. 17 minutes into the match, Xentrias's goal looked a bit too open when Caco Matos came free, but Stig Busk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jörn Albohm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee felt a red card was in order, 30 minutes into the game, when Otto Norström put in a rough tackle. The referee gave Botafogo AP a penalty, 33 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Guto Paraense, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Xentrias's Stig Busk. 1-1. After a rather tough play, Xentrias's Lukas Bjursell got a free kick in the 36th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jonathan Hansson during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 38 played minutes Xentrias got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Hansson. Caco Matos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Stig Busk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Xentrias's Vidar Alebeck slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gilmar de Mendonça. That made the score 2-1 after 42 minutes of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Vidar Alebeck made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Botafogo AP's zone, Vidar Alebeck stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gilmar de Mendonça came out of the goal and Vidar Alebeck tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 60 minutes into the match, Xentrias's Lukas Bjursell sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gilmar de Mendonça narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Xentrias's Rune Vennerkvist got a free kick in the 71st minute. Botafogo AP made a substitution. Lino Trancoso replaced Ronaldinho Félix. In the 86th minute, Lukas Bjursell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 89th minute, Vidar Alebeck left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Xentrias fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Xentrias were victorious despite being under pressure from Botafogo AP for much of the match.
