If Korneliusz Grucza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Teobaldo Milian got free with Stasio Rozanski in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Radomil Mindykowski in the 33rd minute of play forced Club Atlético Atlanta's goalkeeper Aquiles Oihenarte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aquiles Oihenarte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Radomil Mindykowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 38 minutes had been played when some careless play by Club Atlético Atlanta's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Thanks to some nice moves Teobaldo Milian could shoot a difficult shot in the 44th minute, which Stasio Rozanski however easily saved by the left post. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Teobaldo Milian made the kick off in the second half. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedro Rojelio couldn't finish the play. If Rene Luzea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 85 minutes, Ziemowit Turek mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the BYDGOSTIA and the Club Atlético Atlanta players grew even worse after the yellow card.
