Ernesto Cordero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jacob Valines, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Gaskon Mayor's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ernesto Cordero was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. After 16 played minutes Islas FC got a freekick which was hit by Santo Romelio. In the 36th match minute, Los romperredes F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Casildo Galdamez to maneuver through the defense. Narciso Acevedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Narciso Acevedo's late challenge caught a Los romperredes F.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Narciso Acevedo helped the player get up and apologised. Narciso Acevedo kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Islas FC's Ernesto Cordero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Idacio Helguera in the 44th minute of play. 46 minutes into the match, Islas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Idacio Helguera came free, but Ernesto Cordero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
