Fabiano Ornelas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ismael Nazario Serre having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fabiano Ornelas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ismael Nazario Serre showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabiano Ornelas in the 55th minute of the match. Rakkestad IF's Christophe Pourre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valdemar de Moraes in the 56th minute of play. Ismael Nazario Serre stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fabiano Ornelas's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. Fabiano Ornelas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Ismael Nazario Serre made a huge save. Christophe Pourre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valdemar de Moraes in the 79th minute of play. Ismael Nazario Serre took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joachim Hylland, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Robert Pirès had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rakkestad IF's Johan Ødegården was substituted for Andrzej Dobrowski. Ismael Nazario Serre made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Joachim Hylland sent off a good shot on target. In the 94th minute Valdemar de Moraes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christophe Pourre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Rakkestad IF walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
