A throw-in in the 14th minute of the game was made by Afanasiy Mamichev with Eduard Krotenko as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Tudor Sălcudeanu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but João Augusto Simões made a huge save. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tudor Sălcudeanu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Afanasiy Mamichev made in the 55th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Milanis E.C.'s Isiah Hinkle. João Augusto Simões showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adolf Rogov, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. João Augusto Simões took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Liu Jie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. João Augusto Simões came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Феникс Санкт-Петербург's Marat Bolshakov. But to his dismay, Marat Bolshakov quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Josue Ayala took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zé Tola, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 68 minutes into the match, Zé Tola had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Josue Ayala. A collision led to Феникс Санкт-Петербург getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Artur Kulakov hit a great ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Milanis E.C. had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
