Abelardo Maranhense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Faas Wilkes in the 3rd minute of the match. Abelardo Maranhense came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by Vykans Vikingar's Faas Wilkes. But to his dismay, Faas Wilkes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Vykans Vikingar's Marcus Ekrot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abel de Godoi in the 12th minute of play. If Martin Mutumba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fernan Berart hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Abel de Godoi succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 20th playminute. In the 26th match minute, Vykans Vikingar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernan Berart to maneuver through the defense. 27 minutes into the match, Vykans Vikingar's goal looked a bit too open when Abel de Godoi came free, but Marcus Ekrot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Abel de Godoi got free with Marcus Ekrot in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Olivedos's Abelardo Maranhense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Faas Wilkes in the 30th minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Tony Schmidt in the 35th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Vykans Vikingar's Fernan Berart. 38 minutes into the match, Martin Mutumba notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Olivedos's Abelardo Maranhense. Abelardo Maranhense was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abel de Godoi in the 42nd minute of play forced Vykans Vikingar's goalkeeper Marcus Ekrot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcus Ekrot was out of position in the 44 minute of play, and Abel de Godoi capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Abel de Godoi really showed his touch with that goal: 2-2. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Abel de Godoi to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Abel de Godoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcus Ekrot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 56th minute Martin Mutumba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abelardo Maranhense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Elliott Bogren charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Fernan Berart made in the 76th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Olivedos's Luís Novaes. Bengt-Arne Haglund might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Abelardo Maranhense. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bengt-Arne Haglund ran back to his position shaking his head. After 85 minutes of play, Olivedos's Abel de Godoi made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcus Ekrot was left in no man's land by his defense there! Fernan Berart made in the 88th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Abdi Revis however managed to control. Bengt-Arne Haglund might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Abelardo Maranhense. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bengt-Arne Haglund ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 93rd match minute, Vykans Vikingar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernan Berart to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Olivedos fans cheered their team off the field, for while Vykans Vikingar had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
