The audience thought a goal was coming when Saul Joanes got free with Egun Pais in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the Boca Juniors defense, Andy Cole kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luciano Cordarryl. The Boca Juniors fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luciano Cordarryl should have stopped the shot. After 40 played minutes Boca Juniors got a freekick which was hit by Alfredo Farias. Luciano Cordarryl took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andy Cole, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After taking down the ball on Floresta Negra FC's corner Hector Bazkoare fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Luciano Cordarryl quite easily take care of the ball. 67 minutes into the match, Jardel Lewandowski notched a goal, 1-5, to the right of Boca Juniors's Luciano Cordarryl. Jardel Lewandowski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Luciano Cordarryl made a huge save. Floresta Negra FC were awarded a corner in the 96th minute after Boca Juniors's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Lokon Pøhl took the corner. A well-hit corner resulted in Jardel Lewandowski heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. The Floresta Negra FC fans' excitement grew in the 97th match minute when Floresta Negra FC's Lokon Pøhl looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-8 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Floresta Negra FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
