Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Barcellos Mineiro FC's Dale Dolar started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tony Pacheco got free with Patricio Ugutz in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 5th minute New England Minas were awarded a corner. Glen Conklin went to the cornerflag to take it. After 9 played minutes New England Minas got a freekick which was hit by Antonio Valente. Jeremy Nicholas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amílton Loyola in the 11th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tião Paraíba in the 13th minute of play forced New England Minas's goalkeeper Jeremy Nicholas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jeremy Nicholas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dale Dolar, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. The supporters of Barcellos Mineiro FC booed when New England Minas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lalo Rosas didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 30th minute, Edgardo Silva got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 32nd minute, Edgardo Silva made a precise shot to the right of Patricio Ugutz. Barcellos Mineiro FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. In the 39th minute of the match Amílton Loyola shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jeremy Nicholas showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Tony Pacheco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edgardo Silva stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Dale Dolar might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jeremy Nicholas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dale Dolar ran back to his position shaking his head. New England Minas's Jeremy Nicholas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dale Dolar in the 55th minute of play. Tony Pacheco came free in the 59th minute and tried to tip the ball over Patricio Ugutz, but to the joy of Barcellos Mineiro FC's supporters the ball went over. Xiao Bang Kun got a throw-in 63 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Edgardo Silva. Dale Dolar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Jeremy Nicholas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. New England Minas's Tio Lio was substituted for Edgardo Silva. Patricio Ugutz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tio Lio, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. After 82nd play minutes Tio Lio shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Patricio Ugutz and just under the crossbar into goal. A nice corner shot did that Amílton Loyola got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jeremy Nicholas quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Patricio Ugutz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tio Lio in the 90th minute of the match. In the 93rd minute Amerigo Gervasi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeremy Nicholas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jeremy Nicholas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amerigo Gervasi in the 95th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. New England Minas had won after a very even match.
