With an all-out effort, Kolembród Jasło's Maximo Lauro threw himself towards the right post 9 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Walery Bejger, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 9 minutes into the match, Walery Bejger had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Maximo Lauro. C.A Costa Azul's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Walery Bejger was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. 15 minutes into the match, C.A Costa Azul's goalkeeper Maximo Lauro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gică Ciolacu. C.A Costa Azul's Maximo Lauro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save C.A Costa Azul from getting a goal against them. In the 18th minute Arturo Louis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pankracy Dudek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomás Sá sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kolembród Jasło's Pankracy Dudek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Trezeguet in the 25th minute of play. The supporters of C.A Costa Azul booed when Kolembród Jasło was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernard Rutecki didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 27 minutes, David Trezeguet managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. C.A Costa Azul's supporters crossed their fingers, but David Trezeguet was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Stanislaw Ramzinski hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. C.A Costa Azul's Maximo Lauro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Walery Bejger in the 30th minute of play. David Trezeguet recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 35 minutes into the match, Kolembród Jasło's goal looked a bit too open when David Trezeguet came free, but Pankracy Dudek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 36 played minutes Kolembród Jasło got a freekick which was hit by Gică Ciolacu. After 37 played minutes C.A Costa Azul got a freekick which was hit by Carolo Rubio. Pankracy Dudek stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of David Trezeguet's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. Stanislaw Ramzinski kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

After some careless play in the C.A Costa Azul defense, Ziemowit Banach kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Maximo Lauro. The C.A Costa Azul fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Maximo Lauro should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Walery Bejger in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Maximo Lauro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind C.A Costa Azul's goalkeeper Maximo Lauro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Pankracy Dudek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arturo Louis, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. C.A Costa Azul's Higinio Dacio was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 70th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Pankracy Dudek stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of David Trezeguet's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. Walery Bejger recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. David Trezeguet struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Pankracy Dudek didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C.A Costa Azul. Kolembród Jasło made a substitution. Wincenty Watarz replaced Leszek Bugajski. An unexpectedly hard shot by Witalis Oryniak in the 87th minute of play forced C.A Costa Azul's goalkeeper Maximo Lauro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 89th minute, Slawomir Borcz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Michal Rzeszutko during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Kolembród Jasło's Michal Rzeszutko got a free kick in the 91st minute. Pankracy Dudek made an important save on a dangerous shot by David Trezeguet in the 93rd minute. Witalis Oryniak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Maximo Lauro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. C.A Costa Azul's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
