After a rather tough play, Hualcumbo FC's Zumar Rosser got a free kick in the 11th minute. In the 12th play minute Victor Blai came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Estacio Ribacoba. 1-1. 16 minutes into the match, Phillipo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Carnero Urbistondo came free, but Agustin Alvarez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 19th minute Carnero Urbistondo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agustin Alvarez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Agustin Alvarez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Walter Via, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. With a little luck, Hualcumbo FC's Estacio Ribacoba got control of the ball when Victor Blai tried to sneak it across the goal line. Agustin Alvarez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victorino Sastrias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leonides Gaueko hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Victor Blai struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Estacio Ribacoba didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Phillipo FC. The corner led Phillipo FC's Damian Urre to fire away a dangerous shot which Estacio Ribacoba despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When the match had gone on for 42 minutes, Carnero Urbistondo put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Agustin Alvarez. 48 minutes into the match, Walter Via had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Agustin Alvarez. Phillipo FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Walter Via was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Walter Via made a kick off. Marcos Urquioja could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Agustin Alvarez made a huge save. After 56 minutes, Vera Griego mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hualcumbo FC and the Phillipo FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 56 played minutes Hualcumbo FC got a freekick which was hit by Vera Griego. Estacio Ribacoba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonides Gaueko, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Phillipo FC's Victor Blai got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Hualcumbo FC getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Zumar Rosser hit a great ball. Estacio Ribacoba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonides Gaueko in the 73rd minute of the match. Carnero Urbistondo in the 77thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Agustin Alvarez, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 78th minute, Carnero Urbistondo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Agustin Alvarez was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. If Victor Blai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 94 minutes into the match, Leonides Gaueko notched a goal, 3-4, to the right of Hualcumbo FC's Estacio Ribacoba. Estacio Ribacoba was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Hualcumbo FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
