Club Atlético Atlanta's Pankracy Glogowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roland Björklund in the 7th minute of play. The supporters of National Team Cape-Verde booed when Club Atlético Atlanta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eustaquio Jaizki didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 17th minute Bennvar Post shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pankracy Glogowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fredric Melander struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Pankracy Glogowski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for National Team Cape-Verde. Pankracy Glogowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bennvar Post, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pankracy Glogowski didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Carlos Alberto Tevez went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Paolo Caradaro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Pål Sefastsson made a huge save. Pankracy Glogowski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bennvar Post, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carlos Alberto Tevez in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pankracy Glogowski saved Club Atlético Atlanta from getting behind. Pankracy Glogowski came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by National Team Cape-Verde's Carlos Alberto Tevez. But to his dismay, Carlos Alberto Tevez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Emil Chwalkiewicz hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bennvar Post in the 46th minute of play forced Club Atlético Atlanta's goalkeeper Pankracy Glogowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carlos Alberto Tevez in the 48th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pankracy Glogowski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Carlos Alberto Tevez to strike the kick off in the second half. Club Atlético Atlanta's Pankracy Glogowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Alberto Tevez in the 51st minute of play. Pankracy Glogowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Alberto Tevez in the 59th minute of the match. Pankracy Glogowski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carlos Alberto Tevez in the 62nd minute. Rudolf Lundgrens short, quick shot in the 68thth minute got Pankracy Glogowski to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Alberto Tevez in the 71st minute of play forced Club Atlético Atlanta's goalkeeper Pankracy Glogowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 72 minutes into the game, Carlos Alberto Tevez recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Pankracy Glogowski. Carlos Alberto Tevez showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-4. Pankracy Glogowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Alberto Tevez in the 74th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Club Atlético Atlanta's Emil Chwalkiewicz got a free kick in the 76th minute. Rudolf Lundgren scored 1-5 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pankracy Glogowski, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Rosendo Cutberto kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Pankracy Glogowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Alberto Tevez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an all-out effort, National Team Cape-Verde's Pankracy Glogowski threw himself towards the right post 90 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Carlos Alberto Tevez, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. National Team Cape-Verde walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
