In the 15th minute Fagildo Pamanes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vitor Cordoba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vitor Cordoba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fagildo Pamanes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vitor Cordoba made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Hernan Quinton sent off a good shot on target. 22 minutes into the match, Consejo del Mate's goal looked a bit too open when Honorio Justin came free, but Hugo Orlando Gatti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Honorio Justin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
