The referee felt a red card was in order, 9 minutes into the game, when Crispin Grassow put in a rough tackle. 8 minutes into the game, one of AC Rangers:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Panos Paschalidis scored 1-1 in the 11th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rosendo Balesio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 36th minute, Partemi FC's Geovânio Silva seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Geovânio Silva the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Partemi FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Geovânio Silva had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Horacio Frisco had in the 37thth minute some difficulties stopping Richard Barreto's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 39 minutes into the match, AC Rangers's goal looked a bit too open when Aquilino Peyo came free, but Rosendo Balesio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
