Fidel Tadzio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anana Piña in the 16th minute of the match. The Club El Progreso fans' excitement grew in the 16th match minute when Club El Progreso's 정 만 looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Delfim Cordobé in the 19th minute of play forced Academia 1903's goalkeeper Fidel Tadzio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Club El Progreso booed when Academia 1903 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Epifanio Hermelando didn't get a good kick on the ball. Club El Progreso's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Cayetano Brion in the 40th minute. After taking down the ball on Club El Progreso's corner Cayetano Brion fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Fidel Tadzio quite easily take care of the ball. After some careless play in the Academia 1903 defense, Bruno Maxin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fidel Tadzio. The Academia 1903 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fidel Tadzio should have stopped the shot. After 45 played minutes Academia 1903 got a freekick which was hit by Diego Cordario. After 46 played minutes, Club El Progreso's Miguel Janpier shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Fidel Tadzio came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Club El Progreso reached it. After the first half Club El Progreso were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Fidel Tadzio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anana Piña in the 53rd minute of play. Delfim Cordobé could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Fidel Tadzio made a huge save. 56 minutes into the game, 정 만 cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Fidel Tadzio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 60th minute Bruno Maxin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fidel Tadzio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fidel Tadzio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fidel Tadzio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anana Piña, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 71 minutes of play, Club El Progreso's Delfim Cordobé made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fidel Tadzio was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 78th minute 정 만 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fidel Tadzio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Academia 1903's Fidel Tadzio got control of the ball when Delfim Cordobé tried to sneak it across the goal line. Delfim Cordobé received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Fidel Tadzio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Placido Garin kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. When the final whistle sounded Club El Progreso left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Academia 1903.
