He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ilulea FC reached it. Anselmo Feliz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Romeo Raulo went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Joaquin Gumaro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Joaquin Gumaro took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Guilherme Veiga to make any attempt to save it. Anselmo Feliz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from James Joyner in the 27th minute of play. Joaquin Gumaro who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 29thth minute tested the skills of Guilherme Veiga when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Viktor Häger got free with Guilherme Veiga in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gordie Ortigoza during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
