In the 2nd match minute, CON-E-CO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Urbano Cevallo to maneuver through the defense. 5 minutes into the match, CON-E-CO's goal looked a bit too open when Emiliano Pari came free, but Bibiano Barbosa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bibiano Barbosa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ciccio Moscatelli in the 9th minute of the match. In the 14th minute Dave Savini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bibiano Barbosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Toti Iglesias who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 19thth minute tested the skills of Edoardo Proietti when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 20 played minutes S.S.C. NAPOLI got a freekick which was hit by Nejat Özoğuz. If Eric Bergström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. CON-E-CO's Bibiano Barbosa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carter Pallini in the 23rd minute of play. In the 24th minute, Urbano Cevallo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carter Pallini kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. In the 29th minute, Pedrinho Guimarães made a precise shot to the right of Edoardo Proietti. S.S.C. NAPOLI's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Edoardo Proietti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedrinho Guimarães in the 29th minute of play. 33 minutes into the match, CON-E-CO's goal looked a bit too open when Dave Savini came free, but Bibiano Barbosa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. S.S.C. NAPOLI's Edoardo Proietti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Toti Iglesias in the 36th minute of play. In the 38th match minute, S.S.C. NAPOLI was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ermanno Scarinci to maneuver through the defense. If Pedrinho Guimarães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eric Bergström during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to CON-E-CO getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Eric Bergström hit a great ball. CON-E-CO's Bibiano Barbosa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nejat Özoğuz in the 46th minute of play. Edoardo Proietti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Toti Iglesias, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Pedrinho Guimarães recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 54th minute Toti Iglesias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edoardo Proietti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of S.S.C. NAPOLI booed when CON-E-CO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Urbano Cevallo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eric Bergström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edoardo Proietti having to interfere. When S.S.C. NAPOLI's Carter Pallini in the 65th minute got a chance for a shot 65th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye CON-E-CO's goalie prevented a goal. In the 66th minute of the match S.S.C. NAPOLI got a corner. CON-E-CO's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Emiliano Pari ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Dave Savini managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. When Toti Iglesias came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the CON-E-CO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Toti Iglesias couldn't finish the play. In the 71stth minute of the game Toti Iglesias who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but S.S.C. NAPOLI's Edoardo Proietti was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bibiano Barbosa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carter Pallini in the 73rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Toti Iglesias managed to get in a good position for a shot. CON-E-CO's supporters rose to their feet, but Toti Iglesias was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edoardo Proietti breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. CON-E-CO's Frans Escajadillo was substituted for Pedrinho Guimarães. CON-E-CO made a substitution. Servando Ariste replaced Toti Iglesias. After a defensive mix-up in S.S.C. NAPOLI's zone, Eric Bergström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edoardo Proietti came out of the goal and Eric Bergström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. CON-E-CO's Bibiano Barbosa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carter Pallini in the 92nd minute of play. CON-E-CO's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
