The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ilulea FC's Jose Chilavert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pisit Sinanan in the 3rd minute of play. A collision led to Ilulea FC getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Ivan Cordario hit a great ball. Teodoro Faro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valentin Lesardo, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. After 15 minutes of play, Momentum FC's Vicente Ibar made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jose Chilavert was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Pisit Sinanan in the 19th minute of play forced Ilulea FC's goalkeeper Jose Chilavert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jose Chilavert showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vicente Ibar in the 20th minute of the match. After 25 played minutes Ilulea FC got a freekick which was hit by Maximo Kepa. Pisit Sinanan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. In the 42nd minute Pisit Sinanan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jose Chilavert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Momentum FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Victoriano Ixona made a kick off. The audience was convinced that Hernan Herrera's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Teodoro Faro was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. In the 54th minute, Horacio Igon left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Momentum FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. After 57 played minutes Momentum FC got a freekick which was hit by Gregorio Gomesano. Momentum FC's Ladislao Blai got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Menno Zuurman kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Pisit Sinanan in the 90thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jose Chilavert, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Jose Chilavert made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pisit Sinanan in the 95th minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Momentum FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
