The supporters of Club El Progreso booed when Ilulea FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valentin Lesardo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 15 played minutes Ilulea FC got a freekick which was hit by Hernan Herrera. Juan Vergaray was out of position in the 18 minute of play, and Valentin Lesardo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Valentin Lesardo really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. A collision led to Ilulea FC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Victoriano Ixona hit a great ball. 22 minutes into the game, Artemio Hegoi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club El Progreso's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ilulea FC the free kick. Artemio Hegoi kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Pascual Gomesano kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Club El Progreso's zone, Valentin Lesardo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Juan Vergaray came out of the goal and Valentin Lesardo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 33 minutes, Victoriano Ixona made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Club El Progreso's Juan Vergaray tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Ilulea FC getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Valentin Lesardo hit a great ball. In the 44th minute, Valentin Lesardo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Juan Vergaray. The goal made the score 3-1.

Menno Zuurman struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Juan Vergaray didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ilulea FC. In the 55th minute, Valentin Lesardo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ilulea FC's goalkeeper Jose Chilavert, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Club El Progreso's zone, Hernan Herrera stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Juan Vergaray came out of the goal and Hernan Herrera tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Juan Vergaray showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valentin Lesardo, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. It was a well-played corner which Victoriano Ixona managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Ilulea FC's Valentin Lesardo got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Maximo Kepa hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Juan Vergaray showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valentin Lesardo in the 75th minute of the match. Club El Progreso's Juan Vergaray played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valentin Lesardo in the 75th minute of play. Juan Vergaray made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victoriano Ixona in the 77th minute of play. Victoriano Ixona took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Juan Vergaray. Juan Vergaray dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. A collision led to Ilulea FC getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Marciano Claris hit a great ball. After 85 played minutes Ilulea FC got a freekick which was hit by Valentin Lesardo. Juan Vergaray took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Menno Zuurman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Victoriano Ixona kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Saturnino Ezkerra hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Ilulea FC fully deserved thier win.
