In the 5th match minute, Deportivo Balvanera was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Venancio Chaime to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Balvanera's zone, Celedonio Fidensio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abel Neron came out of the goal and Celedonio Fidensio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Lorenzo Berto fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Deportivo Balvanera's protests and gave Lorenzo Berto a yellow card for diving instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leandro Cordarin in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Maximo Mitxel saved 25 de Abril Futbol Club from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 10 minutes, Leandro Cordarin put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Maximo Mitxel. 25 de Abril Futbol Club's Maximo Mitxel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leandro Cordarin in the 15th minute of play. Maximo Mitxel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jose Aritza in the 16th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, 25 de Abril Futbol Club's goal looked a bit too open when Leandro Cordarin came free, but Maximo Mitxel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 23 minutes into the match, Deportivo Balvanera's Jose Aritza sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Maximo Mitxel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Leandro Cordarin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deportivo Balvanera's supporters rose to their feet, but Leandro Cordarin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maximo Mitxel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 31st minute Eusebio Lehoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximo Mitxel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, 25 de Abril Futbol Club's Celedonio Fidensio got a free kick in the 32nd minute. 25 de Abril Futbol Club's Maximo Mitxel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Placido Cordarell in the 33rd minute of play. Octavio Pes hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. After 38 played minutes 25 de Abril Futbol Club got a freekick which was hit by Orlando Panpili. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leandro Cordarin in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Maximo Mitxel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The corner led Deportivo Balvanera's Placido Cordarell to a score. 0-2 in the 42nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Placido Cordarell in the 47th minute of play forced 25 de Abril Futbol Club's goalkeeper Maximo Mitxel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Deportivo Balvanera were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Leandro Cordarin made the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the 25 de Abril Futbol Club defense, Leandro Cordarin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Maximo Mitxel. The 25 de Abril Futbol Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Maximo Mitxel should have stopped the shot. Maximo Mitxel came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by Deportivo Balvanera's Jose Aritza. But to his dismay, Jose Aritza quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. In the 59th match minute, 25 de Abril Futbol Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enzo Jerrald to maneuver through the defense. Deportivo Balvanera made a substitution. Bonifacio Petrigai replaced Ramiro Quin. Deportivo Balvanera's Teo Oinatz was substituted for Octavio Pes. A collision led to 25 de Abril Futbol Club getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Vicente Sanson hit a great ball. In the 67thth minute of the game Leandro Cordarin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but 25 de Abril Futbol Club's Maximo Mitxel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jose Aritza in the 68th minute of play forced 25 de Abril Futbol Club's goalkeeper Maximo Mitxel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Maximo Mitxel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leandro Cordarin, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Eusebio Lehoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Maximo Mitxel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 78th minute, Celedonio Fidensio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Maximo Mitxel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leandro Cordarin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leandro Cordarin hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. 89 minutes into the match, Leandro Cordarin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Maximo Mitxel. 25 de Abril Futbol Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leandro Cordarin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-7. Maximo Mitxel was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jose Aritza showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-8 in the 96 minute of play. Deportivo Balvanera played a much better game than 25 de Abril Futbol Club and deserved their victory. The 25 de Abril Futbol Club players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
