Cornelio Asteri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ciriaco Cordarrell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 12 minutes into the match, SAN LORENZO FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hermengildo Bladi came free, but Julio Ferman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Raimundo Domiku kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Ciriaco Cordarrell took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cornelio Asteri. Cornelio Asteri dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Hermengildo Bladi kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Julio Ferman. That made the score 1-1 in the 17 minute of play. Cornelio Asteri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diego Cresitobalo, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. After some careless play in the SAN LORENZO FC defense, Ladislao Elodio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Ferman. The SAN LORENZO FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Ferman should have stopped the shot. In the 32nd minute of the match Marcelo Michael sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cornelio Asteri skillfully saved the ball. Ciriaco Cordarrell scored 2-2 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cornelio Asteri, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Julio Ferman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ladislao Elodio in the 37th minute. After a rather tough play, Guansa's Jorge Francesco got a free kick in the 38th minute. Cornelio Asteri came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by SAN LORENZO FC's Ciriaco Cordarrell. But to his dismay, Ciriaco Cordarrell quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Cornelio Asteri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ciriaco Cordarrell in the 46th minute of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ciriaco Cordarrell stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Diego Cresitobalo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Cornelio Asteri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. SAN LORENZO FC's Julio Ferman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Flavio Ipar in the 54th minute of play. Diego Cresitobalo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cornelio Asteri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ciriaco Cordarrell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 67 played minutes SAN LORENZO FC got a freekick which was hit by Raimundo Domiku. Julio Ferman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ladislao Elodio, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. In the 72nd minute, Ciriaco Cordarrell ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cornelio Asteri was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-4. With his leg Cornelio Asteri managed to avoid a goal in the 75thth minute, when SAN LORENZO FC's Ciriaco Cordarrell fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 76th play minutes Ciriaco Cordarrell shot 2-5, a short shot which went by Cornelio Asteri and just under the crossbar into goal. Cornelio Asteri stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Victor Heredia's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. After a rather tough play, Guansa's Ladislao Elodio got a free kick in the 90th minute. When Victor Heredia came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the SAN LORENZO FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Victor Heredia couldn't finish the play. The SAN LORENZO FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
