To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 25 minutes into the match, Club de la Serpiente's goalkeeper Guaberto Micael had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gianluca Vialli. Falckner FC's Gianluca Vialli got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Club de la Serpiente getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Geronimo Romero hit a great ball. Guaberto Micael made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Gianluca Vialli sent off a good shot on target.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gianluca Vialli to make the kick off. The audience was convinced that Jose Baldovino's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Guaberto Micael was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. 55 minutes into the match, Club de la Serpiente's goal looked a bit too open when Jose Baldovino came free, but Guaberto Micael reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Loco De la Maza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Timoteo Estebe in the 74th minute of play. When Eloy Velasco came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Club de la Serpiente fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eloy Velasco couldn't finish the play. Loco De la Maza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eloy Velasco in the 86th minute of play.
