Pandi Osmenis short, quick shot in the 9thth minute got John Biwott to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Widnes United's defense didn't have a chance, in the 10th minute, when Përparim Kovaçi scored to the left of an out of position John Biwott, making the score, 1-0. 15 minutes into the match, Widnes United's goal looked a bit too open when Erdet Bekollari came free, but John Biwott reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 16 minutes into the game, Getoar Nini recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of John Biwott. Getoar Nini showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. In the 19th minute, Paul Nabwire hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 21st match minute, Tiranë was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Përparim Kovaçi to maneuver through the defense. 24 minutes into the match, Widnes United's goal looked a bit too open when Getoar Nini came free, but John Biwott reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 25 minutes of play Widnes United's Paul Nabwire was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 26th minute, Paul Nabwire hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pandi Osmeni got free with John Biwott in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. John Biwott took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Përparim Kovaçi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Stephen Koech sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Getoar Nini in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg John Biwott saved Widnes United from getting behind. After 40 minutes, James Damji Pattni mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Widnes United and the Tiranë players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 40 played minutes Widnes United got a freekick which was hit by James Damji Pattni. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Getoar Nini in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg John Biwott saved Widnes United from getting behind. John Biwott showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Getoar Nini in the 47th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Getoar Nini to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Widnes United's goal looked a bit too open when Getoar Nini came free, but John Biwott reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Widnes United's zone, Përparim Kovaçi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. John Biwott came out of the goal and Përparim Kovaçi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. John Biwott showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Getoar Nini in the 59th minute of the match. John Biwott took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pandi Osmeni, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Erdet Bekollari sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Përparim Kovaçi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. John Biwott made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Getoar Nini in the 68th minute of play. In the 70th minute, Përparim Kovaçi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. John Biwott was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. John Biwott showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pandi Osmeni in the 73rd minute of the match. 74 minutes into the match, Widnes United's goal looked a bit too open when Getoar Nini came free, but John Biwott reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. John Biwott made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Getoar Nini in the 77th minute of play. Okot Keino kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Getoar Nini's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but John Biwott was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. Erdet Bekollari received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. John Biwott tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 93 minutes into the game, Përparim Kovaçi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. John Biwott was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Tiranë fully deserved thier win.
