After 13 played minutes The Valar got a freekick which was hit by Gandalf Grey. When The Valar's Olimpiu Postelnicescu in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye ASC South United's goalie prevented a goal. After a defensive mix-up in ASC South United's zone, Damian Dăscălescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kristian Holst came out of the goal and Damian Dăscălescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 23rd minute Olimpiu Postelnicescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kristian Holst saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Olimpiu Postelnicescu in the 28th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Kristian Holst kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 1-0 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gandalf Grey in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kristian Holst prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in The Valar's zone, Taco Scholte stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Francisc Ghionescu came out of the goal and Taco Scholte tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Olimpiu Postelnicescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 38th minute, Dirk van Dessel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 45 minutes, Horia Boerescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The Valar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Horia Boerescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gandalf Grey struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Kristian Holst didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for The Valar. Kristian Holst made a fantastic save in the 48th minute, when Damian Dăscălescu sent off a good shot on target. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hugo Bender was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th match minute, The Valar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olimpiu Pascu to maneuver through the defense. Kristian Holst showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olimpiu Postelnicescu in the 56th minute of the match. After having played for 59 minutes, Olimpiu Postelnicescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The Valar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Olimpiu Postelnicescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 59th match minute, ASC South United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frits de Boer to maneuver through the defense. In the 60th minute of the match Horia Boerescu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kristian Holst skillfully saved the ball. The Valar's Francisc Ghionescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cees Hermensen in the 61st minute of play. Damian Dăscălescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kristian Holst made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damian Dăscălescu in the 68th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Wesley Eringa during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Wesley Eringa kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. 70 minutes into the match, ASC South United's goal looked a bit too open when Horia Boerescu came free, but Kristian Holst reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Stijn Otten kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. 77 minutes into the match, Damian Dăscălescu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kristian Holst. ASC South United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Damian Dăscălescu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. A collision led to ASC South United getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Cees Hermensen hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Olimpiu Postelnicescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. The Valar's supporters rose to their feet, but Olimpiu Postelnicescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kristian Holst breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Olimpiu Postelnicescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kristian Holst having to interfere. Kristian Holst took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gandalf Grey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Francisc Ghionescu made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Cees Hermensen sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of ASC South United booed when The Valar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Virgil Meleșcanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 96 minutes, Olimpiu Postelnicescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The Valar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Olimpiu Postelnicescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. The Valar had played much better football throughout.
