Anton Björnberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After 9 played minutes Inter de Chillán got a freekick which was hit by Mercurio San Martín. When the match had gone on for 13 minutes, Vatan Enfal took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Anders Lundqvist to make any attempt to save it. Anton Björnberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mats Nyström, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. After 28 played minutes Golden Lions FC got a freekick which was hit by Marcelo Steven. A collision led to Golden Lions FC getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Loco Durazno hit a great ball. In the 48th minute Mats Nyström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anton Björnberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Vatan Enfal to strike the kick off in the second half. Mats Nyström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Karlos Novoa hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Anders Lundqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vatan Enfal in the 59th minute of play. 66 minutes into the match, Golden Lions FC's goal looked a bit too open when Vatan Enfal came free, but Anders Lundqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Inter de Chillán's Rickard Erserman was substituted for Vatan Enfal. Golden Lions FC's Burç Tokhan was substituted for Loco Durazno. Golden Lions FC's Cosme Larpe was substituted for Georg Termander. After some careless play in the Golden Lions FC defense, Rickard Erserman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Anders Lundqvist. The Golden Lions FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Anders Lundqvist should have stopped the shot. Anders Lundqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Samuel Abel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Samuel Abel in the 78th minute of play forced Golden Lions FC's goalkeeper Anders Lundqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anton Björnberg made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Burç Tokhan sent off a good shot on target. In the 91st minute, Golden Lions FC's Burç Tokhan dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2.
