In the 6thth minute of the game Gernot Patrzek who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Thüringen's Ralf Mallinger was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Christian Böhland blasted a shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ralf Mallinger having to make a save. Arnold Wolters kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. 10 minutes into the game, Gernot Patrzek lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Ralf Mallinger. In the 14th minute, one of FC Thüringen:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FC Thüringen. FC Thüringen's Marius Gagelmann got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 32nd minute, Randy Holst left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Thüringen fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Christopher Klein received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Ralf Mallinger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the FC Thüringen defense, Gernot Patrzek kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ralf Mallinger. The FC Thüringen fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ralf Mallinger should have stopped the shot. 44 minutes into the game, Christian Böhland was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Feinfeld FSV's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Thüringen the free kick. Christian Böhland hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marius Gagelmann to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Gernot Patrzek's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ralf Mallinger was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. In the 59th minute, Marius Gagelmann ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Steffen Schuster was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. When the match clock showed 64 minutes, the score became 4-2 when Gernot Patrzek sped through FC Thüringen's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ralf Mallinger. Gernot Patrzek took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ralf Mallinger. Ralf Mallinger dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-2. When the match clock showed 71 minutes, the score became 6-2 when Christopher Klein sped through FC Thüringen's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ralf Mallinger. In the 74th minute, Gernot Patrzek got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Gernot Patrzek's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ralf Mallinger was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnold Wolters in the 80th minute of play forced Feinfeld FSV's goalkeeper Steffen Schuster to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FC Thüringen's Ralf Mallinger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gernot Patrzek in the 81st minute of play. A collision led to Feinfeld FSV getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Nikolas Weniger hit a great ball. Steffen Schuster took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Randy Holst, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ralf Mallinger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gernot Patrzek in the 86th minute of the match. When Harald Gerber fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Thüringen's protests and gave Harald Gerber a yellow card for diving instead. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Feinfeld FSV had played much better football throughout.
