When Kurt Ståhlberg fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Team Rocco's protests and gave Kurt Ståhlberg a yellow card for diving instead. Kurt Ståhlberg kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. After 29 played minutes Zielonka Gdansk got a freekick which was hit by Korneliusz Frankowski. 32 minutes into the match, Kurt Ståhlberg notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Zielonka Gdansk's Tolek Makarewicz. Kazimierz Glozor recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Thomas Åman was the one to do the kick off. 56 minutes into the match, Zielonka Gdansk's goalkeeper Tolek Makarewicz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Christian Palm. Tolek Makarewicz was out of position in the 60 minute of play, and Thomas Åman capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Thomas Åman really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. After 88 minutes of play, Zielonka Gdansk's Mariusz Borowski made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Anders Bergman was left in no man's land by his defense there! Anders Bergman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jakub Ankiewicz in the 92nd minute of the match. In the 95th minute Kurt Ståhlberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tolek Makarewicz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zielonka Gdansk succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Team Rocco had controlled the match.
